Product FAQs

Our Color Shampoo and Color Treatment products gradually build color over time. You can control the depth of the color with the number of uses. For personalized advice, feel free to send us a photo of your hair in good lighting, and we can recommend the best shade for you. You can also refer to our Color Match Lookbook.

For the best results, start with the KIWABI Color Treatment for the first 2-3 applications to ensure thorough coverage of grey hair. Do NOT wash out the Treatment with the Color Shampoo or any other shampoo. Only rinse out with water. No conditioner necessary.

Use the KIWABI Color Shampoo regularly in between your Color Treatment applications (in place of your usual shampoo) to maintain the color and keep your hair vibrant between the Color Treatments.

Our products are carefully formulated with gentle, botanical ingredients and do not contain harsh chemicals. However, as every pregnancy is unique, we recommend consulting with your doctor if you have specific concerns.

Our Color Treatment and Color Shampoo are both vegan, halal-certified, and free from ingredients derived from animals. We are working to reformulate other products that are not yet vegan. Stay tuned to our newsletters for updates on our transition to vegan formulations.

If the Color Shampoo isn't providing the desired results, here are some tips:

  • Make sure your hair is free of oils and styling products.
  • Try washing your hair twice in one shower—first with regular shampoo and then with Color Shampoo - or twice with the Color Shampoo. The first shampoo round is to clean your hair of any oils, products or other residue that may block the color from adhering well.
  • Leave the Color Shampoo on for 3-5 minutes to allow better color adhesion.

If these steps don't work, you may need the more intensive coverage provided by our Color Treatment.

To patch test, apply a small amount of the product on a small patch of your hair at the nape of your neck or on a less visible part of your skin to check for any reactions. Leave it on for the recommended time and rinse off. Monitor the area for 24 hours for any adverse reactions.

The Root Beauté Hair Essence is a daily treatment that can be used every day on areas of concern. For best results, apply to a clean scalp, ensuring it is free from oils, old skin cells, and styling products. The essence quickly absorbs and does not need to be washed out.

Subscriptions

You can manage your subscription by clicking on the "Manage Subscription" button in the reminder emails that are sent to you 3 days before each shipment. You can also pause or cancel your subscription through the Manage Your Subscription link in the footer or here.

You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time up to 2 days before your next shipment is processed. Once an order is prepared for shipment, changes or cancellations will apply to future orders only. Ordering & Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and AmazonPay.

Orders are processed immediately and sent to our fulfillment center (which is very good about getting products out quickly!) This means we are unable to change, cancel, or correct the address on an order once it has been placed. This is why we have now added the confirmation checkbox before placing an order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Returns & Exchanges

Yes, we do ship internationally. For orders outside the USA, a flat fee of $19.99 is applied for shipping. Please note that customers are responsible for any additional customs duties or import fees.

Please check with your local USPS or delivery carrier to see if they can locate your package. If they confirm it was lost or delivered incorrectly, please provide us with the correspondence, and we will assist you in getting a replacement.

Promotions & Discounts

There are a few reasons why a discount code may not work:

  • The code can not be applied to subscription purchases.
  • You might be trying to use multiple discount codes, which cannot be combined.
  • Ensure the code is entered correctly, with numbers instead of similar-looking letters (e.g., “10” instead of “IO”).

Discount codes can be entered at checkout. Make sure the code is correctly typed, and check if there are any restrictions on its use. Promotion codes cannot be used on subscription orders as they are already discounted and cannot be combined with other offers.
